You know you’ve been following the Tea Party movement a little too closely when you see a picture of Peeps and your first thought is, “Tea Party!” Now, now, quit looking at me like that. Turns out, the Washington Post is holding its third annual Peeps Diorama Contest. Come now, someone with more artistic talent than me… enter a Tea Party Peeps Diorama! What’s a little fun and games .. and perhaps if enough of us send them in with a note about the scene, the Post will take note. You never know. 😉 Mayhaps their title of “Power to the Peeps” will ring a little truer than they expected?
We want you to make a diorama of a famous occurrence or scene or concept. It can be a historic, current or future event. It can be a nod to pop culture. It can be an evocation of an idea or abstraction. The one rule is that all the characters in the diorama must be played by Peeps, those marshmallowy chicks and rabbits plaguing checkout lines in every convenience store this season.

H/T to Crafster Blog on this one, by the way.
